Donkey Republic was tasked with setting up a bike-share operation at the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™, to support Transvilles, the official transportation provider of the Valenciennes region in France.

Glostrup Municipality in the greater Copenhagen region has recently opened a new area, specifically for testing new modes of mobility and bicycle parking habits. The test zone operates as one of the use cases for the ‘Fremtidens Intelligente Mobilitet i Greater Copenhagen’ project, led by Gate21 in partnership with the Capital Region of Denmark, Region Zealand, municipalities around Copenhagen, public transport agency Movia and Malmö University.

Like all new initiatives, Folkemødet had to establish itself as an event to be at. Ever since its birth in 2011, the number of participants has increased year by year and peaked at more than 100,000 participants in 2019. The theme at Folkemødet 2019 was: the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, aka the SDGs.

In this particular case, it’s pride. With people in the company who identify themselves as part of the LGBT community we got our own lesson in history and stand proud with them.

Critical Mass is a global bike ride, a bike “protest” and social movement, called once a month by bike enthusiasts. The goal of the parade is to promote urban cycling and raise attention for better cycling infrastructure in designated cities. Critical Mass bike rides are entirely driven by regular citizens who simply want better conditions for cycling.

Earth Overshoot Day (EOD) marks the day, when humanity consumes all the resources and services of the planet in a given year. This year the human population overshoots the environment on 29 of July, meaning that we already consumed all the resources the planet can provide us for 2019. But what does it mean exactly regarding our future, and what can we do about it?
