Exploring the Limits: Riding a Donkey bike 175 KM

At Donkey Republic, we believe that our bikes are more than just a means of transportation, they’re a way of life. They embody adventure, reliability, and the spirit of exploration. Recently, one of our passionate team members, Valerian, took this belief to heart with an extraordinary challenge around Lake Geneva.

A Challenge Like No Other
It all started with a friendly challenge. Valerian’s friend Khalil suggested a bike trip around the stunning Lake Geneva, a journey totalling 175.63 km. While this was already a significant distance, Valerian raised the stakes – “why not do it on our trusty Pgen2 bikes?” Known for their sturdy design and city-friendly features, these bikes might not be the first choice for a long-distance road challenge, but that’s exactly why they chose them.

With a spirit of adventure and a healthy dose of friendly competition, the challenge was set. Two other friends initially hesitated to join but couldn’t resist the excitement when they saw the dedication Khalil and Valerian had. The team was ready, and the journey began.

 Pushing the Boundaries
Valerian’s Pgen2, affectionately named “Aurélien,” and Khalil’s “Hippie,” were about to be tested like never before. Over nearly 7 hours of continuous cycling, these bikes performed beyond expectations. With an average speed of 25.3 km/h and a maximum speed of 51.5 km/h, the team not only completed the journey but did so with impressive performance stats, especially considering the bikes they were using.

This ride was more than just a test of endurance; it was a testament to the incredible quality and versatility of Donkey Republic bikes. From daily commutes to long-distance challenges, these bikes proved they could handle it all, offering a smooth and reliable ride even in demanding conditions.

The Adventure Continues
At Donkey Republic, we’re proud to have team members who embody the adventurous spirit of our brand. Khalil and Valerian’s journey around Lake Geneva isn’t just a story about a bike ride; it’s a story about pushing limits, embracing challenges, and proving that our bikes are built for anything.
